You know those projects that you just don’t want to leave? When we visit animal shelters, it’s always like this. We don’t want to go back home, and if we have to go, we want to take all the dogs and cats with us!
On the 26th of February, SYLC members visited the 내사랑바둑이 (@naesarangbadugiy) Animal Shelter in Gimpo, for the second animal shelter cleaning community service organized in partnership with Animore (@ani_more_official). With an energetic team of volunteers, we took the dogs for a walk, cleaned the dogs and cats’ kennels and rooms, fed them, and of course, petted and gave them a lot of massages.
“What amazed me most was that the dogs were so obedient, playful, and felt so familiar with us. As fun and exciting as it lasted, it was sad knowing we only had a few hours to keep them company. I wondered quietly in my mind if the animals will still be this excited when we go back to our homes.”
