Repairing Shelters & Feeding Cats

Date: 18 March 2023 Authors: Minji Kwag, Jessica Machado

There are so many animals constantly being abandoned and vulnerable to risks. Volunteering a couple of hours of your time every week can help give animals another chance!

    SYLC members and one-day volunteers

On Saturday, March 18th SYLC members and funlunteers met with a local organization (공냥이발자국) that helps care for stray cats at a public park in Seoul. There, the funlunteers helped remove winter coverings of the cats’ shelters, replaced food and water bowls, and got to spend some time with the cats themselves. Overall, it was an amazing event and a great way to meet and work with a local group providing help for cats in need!

Project members do an amazing job taking care of cats that live on the streets. It is daily work that involves a lot of dedication to providing food and water, in addition to medical care, fostering, and helping adoption.

As unfortunately, many cats live in these conditions, the project needs a lot of help!
